Why Brick for July 4th?
Brick Township pairs its Independence Day fireworks with Summerfest, the popular concert series the town runs at Windward Beach Park on the Metedeconk River. The July 4th-weekend show is Thursday, July 2, 2026: the concert kicks off at 7 p.m. and the fireworks light up the river at dusk right after. Summerfest runs four Thursdays β July 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Windward Beach Park (265 Princeton Ave) is a riverfront venue, so the fireworks reflect off the Metedeconk for a scenic display. Bring blankets and lawn chairs, settle in for the concert, and stay for the show β it's a relaxed, community-focused alternative to the busy boardwalk crowds.
Brick is a family suburb that meets the shore, with both bay and riverfront access plus its own ocean beaches at Brick Beach on the barrier island. That mix lets you spend the holiday day on the sand and the evening at the riverfront fireworks without leaving the township.
