History

Tinicum Rear Range Lighthouse was built in 1880 as part of a range light system on the Delaware River. The lighthouse guided ships through the river channel.

After deactivation in 1967, the lighthouse fell into disrepair. The skeletal iron structure remains standing but is deteriorated and inaccessible.
